Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was born in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sergey Her father (who died in 2019), was an ice-hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born on May 5th, 1998, from Minsk Belarus. Her twelve WTA singles titles include one Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. As a doubles player, she's an excellent player. She's won two Majors in the past with Elise Mertens, the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. Together with her fellow Belgian tennis champion, the Belgian also took home the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in 2019, thus completing her the Sunshine Double. Only four women's pairs were able to achieve this achievement. World singles rankings rose again to its highest position on the 20th of January, 2023. The Belarusian rose to the top of the rankings for doubles the year following, having winning the doubles title in Melbourne. This made her the only Belarusian tennis player to succeed in her field. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach in 2018 until the season ended in 2019. She also worked with him for a short time at the start of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was her coach from the month of August to September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov is her coach as of at the beginning of 2020. Serena Williams is her role model, followed by Maria Sharapova.
